Relax at the Lollipop Motel
A candy-colored piece of Americana and recently the subejct of a major modernization & renovation effort, the Lollipop is one of the Wildwoods' great surviving "Doo Wop" landmarks. Its classic, eye-catching and now-famous roadside sign with smiling kids beneath a giant Lollipop (as seen in books, magazines and major newspapers all over the world!) has been lovingly maintained and restored - a beacon of the fun, playful vaction atmosphere the Lollipop has offered for nearly 50 years!
As part of the Wildwoods' ongoing Doo Wop revival efforts, in the Fall of 2004, the Lollipop Motel was renovated and transformed into a modern and luxurious condominium-hotel complete with high-end furnishings and amenities so that the fun and family-friendly spirit of 1950s Wildwood can be preserved while offering cutting-edge accommodations for the discerning 21st-century guest!
